About Us

We (Ross and Cathy Miller – together with Poppy the cat!) took over Ashburton House in October 2002. We have a strong track record within the hospitality industry – having successfully run a restaurant in Eastleigh, just outside Southampton for the previous seven years. We are now looking forward to many more happy years in South Wales.

Ashburton House provides a friendly and comfortable guest house environment combined with all the convenience of a hotel. We have five bedrooms designed to cater for a variety of needs – to find out more please take a look at our Gallery of Rooms & Services. If you have specific needs, please view our Access Statement which will give you full details of access to the guest house and our rooms.

All of our rooms come with remote-control colour televisions, tea and coffee making facilities and central heating and a hair dryer, iron and ironing board are available upon request. Additional services on offer include access to WiFi Broadband and freeview digiboxes. These particular services will incur a small rental charge.

Breakfast is served in the breakfast room at the following times: Monday to Friday 7.00am to 8.30am Saturday and Sunday  8.00am to 9.30am Please click here to view our full breakfast menu. We ask that rooms should be vacated on the day of departure by: Monday to Friday 10.00am Saturday and Sunday  10.30am

Ashburton House is a designated non-smoking establishment – we therefore ask that you respect this and smoke outside. In the unlikely event that you hear the fire bell, please exit from your room, close the door and go downstairs to the front door. Please do NOT wait to pack.
